Eugene T. Chizikis an American football coach and former player. He was named defensive coordinator at North Carolina in January 2015. He was the head coach of the Auburn football team from 2009 until the end of the 2012 season. Chizik's 2010 Auburn Tigers football team completed a 14–0 season with a victory over Oregon in the BCS National Championship Game. What we're really pleased with is that they played hard. We tried to execute our defense, but we played a lot of base defense. Obviously, we have a lot of work to do on some things. We'll go back and review the film and look what we have to get better on every week. Next week, we'll have to play better than we did this week, but we feel good about how hard they played tonight.

I think their M.O. has been, if they do something new, to do it early and see what you do. They're really looking intently to see what you do so they know where to go with the next step. It's really unique. I feel very blessed and fortunate to have made the move to the University of Texas and continued the streak. I don't think about it a whole bunch. Obviously, it would be nice to continue that streak. I can assure you that.
