He's making them count. He's done a good job of carrying this offense, being in the middle part of the order. He's been a big guy for us. What he's going through now, he's doing what we all know he can do. It's nice to have a hitter like that hot at this time of year.

We got to (Chen) early and kept going. We got into the groove. We all kind of got off to a slow start last season, so we have really made a point of focusing on scoring this season.

Throughout the at-bat I just kept going farther and farther. I wanted to see how much they would let me have before they stopped me. They never did, and I told Skins, 'I can take this.
hard national tv whether
Whether or not we were on national TV made no difference. We go out and play hard every game.
score shut zero
We don't like getting shut out. To score zero is unacceptable. We feel we're a pretty solid-hitting club.
