ball dangerous
I think at the WACA the new ball is going to be the most dangerous part of batting.
closer drawing final india matter ourselves reach target tired tours
No matter how tired we are after the tours to India and now here we have to find a way of drawing ourselves closer for the final 10 days. It is our target to reach the final and to win it.
african australia daunting prospect scary south
Australia has always been a scary and daunting prospect for South African teams.
batting focus helps hoping medical rather second staff until waited
Sometimes, when you're batting with an injury, it helps you to focus your mind, and I'm hoping that will be the case. The medical staff would rather I waited until the second Test, but I really want to get out there and play.
bowl guy risks team tough wants
As a team we've got to take more risks and he's (Botha) a guy who wants to bowl in tough situations.
sure
I'm sure those performances are just around the corner.
batting came cricket drawing minds moving needs negative option positive team teams
The whole team wanted to be positive and wanted to go for a win. Cricket needs positive games. It doesn't need teams batting out and drawing games. For us, as a team moving forward, we're young and we need to be positive. To set a declaration and to try to go for a win was in our minds the only way to play. The negative option never came in.
boys confident feet firmly
The boys are confident but the feet are still firmly on the ground.
awesome occasion touring
The MCG is an awesome occasion for any touring team.
easy loose shots
It was not easy to bat. But there were too many loose shots by our guys. We have just got to play better cricket.
interest learn though together work
That's why I say we can learn a lot from the Aussies about how they all work together in the interest of their cricket, even though we don't always like what they're saying.
doubt seriously
I seriously doubt we will go in with two spinners.
bit chasing surreal
Chasing 434 is a bit surreal for us. But it was an unbelievable wicket and the batsmen were all able to play their shots.
foot increase injury left series team test time watching
His foot flares up from time to time, and with the Test series just around the corner, we don't want to do anything to make his injury worse. His workload will increase in the Tests, so we are watching him carefully. He may be left out of the team for tomorrow's match.
