He Himself is the Immaculate Lord. He who has created, shall Himself destroy.

He Himself created and adorned the Universe, and He Himself contemplates it. Some are counterfeit, and some are genuine. He Himself is the Appraiser.

He may be called a chief, an emperor, a king, a governor or a lord; he may present himself as a leader or a chief, but this just burns him in the fire of egotistical pride.

Whatever the Command of Lord and Master is, one should bow his forehead and accept it
places whatever within
Whatever He places within them, that is what prevails, and so they outwardly appear.
happens lord order whatever
Whatever happens in this world is only by the Order of our Lord and Master.
abandoned remain shall swan women
But when the swan departs, you shall remain behind, like an abandoned woman.
alone heard lord
I have heard one thing, that the One Lord alone is fearless.
against dare five heads none raise village
I have come to Your Sanctuary. The five farm-hands have become my tenants; none dare to raise their heads against me. O Nanak, my village is populous and prosperous.

Haven't you heard the call from beyond, O beautiful soul-bride? You must go to your in-laws; you cannot stay with your parents forever.
carried guru listens speaks whoever
Guru Nanak speaks the Teachings; whoever listens to them is carried across.
guru separated unite whom
Guru may unite me with God, from whom I was separated for so long
approved efforts falls guru lord love
Guru falls in love with the Lord of the Universe, and his efforts are approved
alone guru karma
Guru alone does such deeds, who has such pre-ordained karma
