explained fall hair high idealistic needs point six
I explained how it worked. At that point in time, he said 'That's what I want to do.' I thought, 'We got six long years. He needs to go to high school, let his hair grow, be idealistic and that will fall by the wayside.' But it never did. He never wavered.
blind saw
I saw it. You had to be blind not to see it.
coming good kept kids played
Our kids never quit. They just kept coming back and played good baseball.
affect
It doesn't affect us and it doesn't affect T.O..
atlanta mistakes next ready room weeks
We are not ready to play Atlanta (in the season-opener on Sept. 12) yet, but we have around two weeks to prepare. We have a lot of room to improve. We had some mistakes out there, so we are going to come in and get better next week.
game might win
We're not a one-man show. We all want to win, and T.O. is on the team. He might have wanted to win this game a lot, but I think we all did.
chance excellent goes guys mean proud stuff talking
Those two guys were just in a zone. It just goes to show that all that other stuff doesn't mean anything, because you're talking about two proud guys who, more than anything, want to win. And when they play like this, we have an excellent chance of winning.
bad closest injuries somebody step team todd work
Todd is one of the closest friends I have on the team, and I feel bad for him for all the work he's put in this offseason. But injuries take place in this game, and the team has to get in there. Somebody has to step up and make plays.
ball both catch chemistry run
Personally, I think chemistry is over-rated. You know the play, you run the play, the ball is there, and you catch it. They're both professionals. They'll be fine.
breed everybody
Flamboyant? ... I never really thought about it, but it's true. We are. We're just a different breed than everybody else.
business parents personal recognize
Your personal business is your personal business, and we all recognize that. That's what my parents told me.
care developers
This is something we will look more at (in the future). There are developers out there who care about the community.
athletic gone parents promises willing
As a parent, having gone through the whole athletic thing myself, I know promises like that are pretty shallow. I feel he wasn't being genuine, and he was willing to tell parents what they wanted to hear.
catch decided pay usual
That's what they pay us to do, go out there and catch balls. That was the way I had to catch it, so I decided to catch it with one hand. It was just the usual for me.
