goals improving specific
We're where we need to be at this time, improving every week. We have some very specific goals for this meet.
appears both catch close focused home improving last love meet southern state stay utah weekend
Utah State had a very close meet with BYU last weekend and appears to be improving each week. I know both Utah State and Southern Utah would love to catch us a little down after last week's home opener. We need to stay focused and on-task.
hurt ourselves prove
We had a lot to prove down there, and we've hurt ourselves in a lot of ways.
bars consistency execution exhibition far four gave hitting missed needs pleased routines steps
While I was very pleased with our consistency, hitting 23 of 24 competitive routines and 6-for-6 in exhibition routines, our execution still needs work. We gave away far too many deductions for missed handstands on bars and steps on landings on all four events.
concerned demeanor good somebody
I did not like at all their demeanor in warm-ups. I was concerned that somebody was going to get hurt. They just were not in a good place.
win
While we didn't win it, we went up another notch.
blow earned others return trained
Boy, did I blow that decision. I should have let her go all-around in her return home, but she hadn't trained particularly well, and some others earned the opportunity.
competing forward front home looking nebraska talented
Nebraska is very talented and well-coached. Everyone is looking forward to competing in front of our home crowd.
ready rivalry tradition
There's a long tradition of rivalry between our two programs, and I know they'll be ready for us.
tough
I know (Ford) is a really tough kid.
meet point predicted season worry
I never would have predicted at this point in the season we would go 197. I try not to worry about (the judging) this year, because I know from meet to meet there are going to be some real differences.
either final struggle
It's just unexpected. I didn't think there was any way either of them (Georgia, Alabama) could struggle like that (in their final events).
people
It's kind of the story of our year. Sometimes people let us back in.
certainly year
Every year is a little different, and this one was certainly unique.
