I was not about to give this up. I didn't know what I was going to do, but I could see the bear about 70 feet away and my fish was still about 50 out. I just started reeling him in and my son-in-law decided it was not worth the risk and he ran. Everyone was yelling at me to run too.

I think the bear spotted the fish and decided it would be a good meal. When we first saw him, he was on the shore about 10 feet from the fish.
