To me, redneck is a sense of self and a way of life.
If I stop and think about it, it just blows my mind. It's my stage. No restrictions. It's my party, and I am having the best time.
It's not my life story but stories from my life. And also stories from a lot of women that I grew up around and that I felt were very pivotal in my life and kind of gave me the courage and the strength to keep going. It's kind of going to be a feel-good book for women.
It's the most nerve-racking song to be singing.
At first I didn't think it made sense, ... But we decided if it was a hidden track, it wouldn't disrupt the flow of the record, and it would also give people the insight that there was more to a redneck woman than they might think.
The great thing is getting to play for 8, 10, 12,000 people every night, ... Stepping out on stage and singing for everybody is what it's all about. It's awesome.
Most of them are man-bashing, downing guys. This one doesn't do that. 'Redneck Woman' is just a song about pride.
Every time I hear his voice coming in on that song, I get goose bumps. I still can't believe Merle Haggard is on my record. But I still haven't met him face to face. I've talked with him a lot on the phone, especially in the last few weeks, when we've been editing the video. It's strange to work with somebody without having ever met them. But hopefully, one of these days, I'll talk him into coming out to a show and perhaps jumping onstage to sing the song with me.

When ready, we will roll-out with the goal of establishing retail destination sites in appropriate venues, including Nashville, Newport Beach, Harlem and Austin. Importantly, each shop will be designed with memorable visual elements or artifacts germane to the specific locale, and will be promoted by celebrities who are both national and 'local' in their appeal.
