Gus Malzahn
Arthur Gustavo "Gus" Malzahn, IIIis an American football coach and former player. Malzahn is currently the head coach at Auburn University, a position he assumed prior to the 2013 season. He spent the 2012 season as the head football coach at Arkansas State University. From 2009 to 2011, Malzahn served as the offensive coordinator at Auburn University. Our plan every week is to throw the football, but tonight our quarterback played extremely well.
Of course, I was a head coach at high school for 15 years, so as far as on the field stuff it's the same but for college football it's off the field experience you got to get used to. It was a great learning experience for me, I learned a lot and I feel very prepared coming in here.
It was awkward at times, especially at first. But I think the reality is they actually saw me with a Razorback on my shirt, and it kind of hit home that, hey, he is over there, he's not at Springdale anymore.
We knew this season would be remembered one way or the other. It's been a dream the whole way, and what a better way to cap it.
