This guy's life is a movie waiting to happen.
feeling gut
I had a gut feeling that it was right thing to do at that point.
adding details focus good left scheme starting terms understand
In terms of adding things from a scheme standpoint, there's not a lot left to do. We want to focus more on the details of what we already have in. They are starting to understand it (the new offense) and make adjustments on the run, which is good to see.
against favor help officials plays sideline sure worked
In that case, it would have worked against us if they had reversed the call. I'm in favor of replay, and anything to help officials get it right. But I'm sure we will disappointed on the sideline at times, and there will be plays that go against us.
coming energetic excited gary good joe relate strong upbeat
Gary Joe is a young and energetic coach, a very good X and O man. He's an upbeat person and his personality should make him a very strong recruiter for our program. He's excited about coming back to Baylor and will relate well to our players.
game played since
It's probably the most significant game that we have played since I've been here.
coaches great happy kids players
It's a great win. We're happy to be 2-0. But I don't want our kids to think that we as coaches or them as players can be satisfied. We just have to play with a sense of urgency.
bit catching good guys run thin tomorrow worn
It was a good practice. The receivers are getting a little worn down; they run a lot in this new system, and we're a little thin at that spot. We'll probably get more of the big guys in tomorrow to give the receivers a little bit of a break. But we've put in two-thirds of the offense, and the guys are catching on pretty well.
deal few hours missing run takes week
It takes about 48 hours to run its course, so we'll probably have a few more missing (Thursday), too. But, better this week than next. It's just something you have to deal with.
buying confidence enjoyed expect fans few games goal history hopefully last
The history here in the last few years has been such that they haven't enjoyed those kind of games and those victories. Hopefully we can give our fans the confidence that so they can expect more of that so we don't have to keep buying new goal posts.
execute rest
It is just polishing (the rest of the week) at this point, we really haven't much. We just need to execute better and get everyone clicking.
enjoyed folks football since time
It's been a long time since our folks have enjoyed football success.
believe clear continue enhance football lee moving offensive ratio seek style vision
We will continue to seek a 60-40 pass-to-run ratio moving forward. I believe Lee can take what we are doing and enhance it. Lee and I have a clear vision of the style of offensive football we want to play.
buy check days football four investing last message rooms since starting supposed team time weight workouts
Since the end of last season, the whole team has really started to buy into the whole message of doing things the right way. I haven't had any off-the-field problems. I haven't had to check rooms at night. They've been doing conditioning workouts at 6 a.m. four days a week. You can tell they've been investing some time in the weight room. We are starting to look like a football team is supposed to.
