All of a sudden the sun was trying to break through the clouds, and then, 15 minutes later, it was another downpour. By the time I got home to Salem, we had sleet and hail. It was hitting the windows so hard, it was scaring my wife.

I'm not terribly surprised about where we were picked. I think the voting spread shows that most coaches think that it will be a pretty tight race, with several teams having a shot at winning it all. We did get one first-place vote, so apparently one coach out there thinks we're dangerous. Part of the problem with a preseason poll in our conference is that due to the geographical spread of the schools, we don't get to see everyone, such as Oral Roberts or Centenary, prior to the conference season.

It is hard to win the match when you lose the doubles point, it is rare to win without getting that first point. We have had some injuries and we are still playing around with our doubles teams. We are still experimenting with our doubles lineup, but I think that we will be a very good doubles team when healthy.

I don't think we were aggressive enough. We didn't fight for the ball. We didn't get a lot of first touches. We seem to play too unselfish, instead of taking the ball to the net. But it's a win and I'll take it.

To anyone outside of the security profession, security is an annoying layer of cost and inconvenience. The benefits of security should be the point of your presentation. If we can identify what benefits a company can enjoy with appropriate security measures, then we can have a useful discussion of ROI.
