course easy good greens looks tear
I think 66 over here at Del Monte is a good round. It looks like a course you can tear it up, but it's a test. The course is not as easy as it looks. There are some greens that can give you problems.
golf good hit shots
I hit a lot of very good golf shots this week,
excited good
I don't get too excited with first-round scores. But you have to be up there to have a chance. It's always good to be in the mix.
four good holes kept rest start three
I got off to a good start with birdies on three of four holes and kept it going the rest of the way,
attitude golf good learning shots trying understand
I am still trying to understand this game, ... I am still learning how to play golf. There are a lot of shots I still don't know. I am still trying to learn, and I think that's a good attitude to have.
birdie game good including talking worth
It's been just awful. Including the pro-am, I've not made a birdie in 54 holes. Right now, I'm not a very good player. There's nothing in my game that's worth talking about. That's the game. You take your lumps and I'll be back.
bogey good seven
Seven birdies and one bogey -- a good day,
beat golf good hit putting short shots
I hit a lot of very good golf shots this week. I'm not going to beat up my short game, but I had some putting difficulty. But I'm not complaining.
ball coming days driving easier either eliminate few good green helps hitting last left missing perhaps seems short side silly sort
Overall, two very good days hitting the ball. It seems like I'm either doing things very, very well or doing some silly things, missing the green perhaps on the short side and driving the ball well out of play, missing some easier putts than one would think you would miss. At 7-under, I feel like I've left a few out there, but at the same time, coming in with two birdies on the last two holes, sort of helps eliminate some of that.
abandoned ball continue couple good hit last patient putter putting roll style tried
(Friday), the putter abandoned me early, and I never got it back. I went to a little different putting style. And I did roll the ball much better. I had more opportunities. I tried to be a little more patient and continue to hit good shots. Eventually, you're going to make a couple even if you don't putt well. That's what I did the last couple of holes.
poorest shot water
It was just probably the poorest executed shot of the week. You're going over water one way or another, why not go at the flag?
anticipate experience great happens playing whether
I have been there, and I know I can do it. Whether it happens or not, I don't know. I think experience is a great factor. I don't anticipate Dana playing poorly. I just have to play well.
gotten
I've gotten away from my conditioning because of my back, but I've got to get back to that this winter.
happen knew last lead saw three until
I really didn't know what was going on until I got to 16. Then I saw I had the lead with Bob. I knew something was going to happen in the last two or three holes.
