She calls me almost every single day and asks how practice was. She leaves me long messages before a meet. Oh yes, she will be there on Friday and Saturday.

I had no idea. It was so hard waiting (before the awards ceremony). It was really suspenseful this year. I had the flu or something today. Still, I knew I had to try my best today no matter how I felt.
afraid extra hurt model name practice role time
She has always been my role model in gymnastics, and every time at practice when she was doing some tumbling or something, I was always afraid she was going to get hurt again. Because of what she went through (an ACL injury, to name one), I think it makes me try extra hard. A lot of what I was doing was for her.

We have an amazing team this year. We have great potential to win it again. We know we have to work hard because we always know what (else) can happen. We have lost twice to West Salem/Aquinas this year, which I think has helped us understand what we have to do.
