I felt really sorry for him, but after that I knew the gap was open,

It's a question now of there being life after golf. I'd like to try and get back onto the European Tour fulltime again. But if that doesn't happen, I'll be happy to stay in South Africa and play the circuit here. I'm a family man and I have a good support base here.
easy feeling tension
I started feeling the tension on the 17th because that's not an easy hole,
birdie decided last par position stretch thomas worked
Thomas made birdie there and I thought, 'Here we go. It's down the stretch now'. But I've been in that position before and decided to just try and make my par at the last and let Thomas try and come at me. Fortunately it worked out.
great green hit instead looking rough save shots struggling
You can hit some great shots into the green and end up 12-foot from the pin, just off the green in the rough and, instead of looking for birdie, you are struggling to save par.
