anybody fighting fights-and-fighting letting
I wasn't letting anybody get that but me. I was fighting my way through.
kindness lead point pulled
We pulled it out in the end, but it shouldn't have even got to that point with the kind of lead we had.
backing coach coaching forcing frustrated good helped instead job knew lose playing saw today
It helped us a lot because we knew he wasn't mad. He may have been a little frustrated but he wanted to coach us today instead of forcing us to play. He saw we were playing for him, playing as a team. A lot of times when you lose poise, you lose focus. Today he was backing us up. I thought he did a very good job coaching us through this one. Very good.
head
Can't head out there too cocky. Just play like we need the win.
bully couple scary stepped tonight
He stepped up big for us tonight ... tremendous. The rebounds, the baskets, he was a beast. To me, he?s the bully of the Big East, and he?s just a freshman. It?s going to be scary to see him in a couple of years.
advantage couple force games last
I didn't try to force anything. If it comes to me, I'm going to take advantage of it. The last couple of games I didn't feel that I had the opportunity.
best coming feels good high means national school
In high school, he was recruited; he was an All-American. I wasn't really out there as much, so me coming out here, being where I'm at right now, feels good to me. He got the best of me in high school. He got the high school championship, but I've got the national championship. That means a lot more to me.
game life seriously
For some of us, this is going to be our life career. We have to take it seriously every game and every day.
everybody expressing good happy people wrong
Everybody has their own personality. I'm kind of happy it's the way it is. With too many people expressing their emotions, things could flare up, things could go the wrong way. Right now we have a good balance.
hyped late
It's a late game. Everyone is going to be hyped for that game. It's going to be something to watch.
heart job passion played rebounds supposed
The big ones have to try and do their job and do what they're supposed to do get as many rebounds as possible. (Stony Brook) played with a lot of heart and a lot of passion.
caught court experience screens shooting tough toughest
It's been tough for me, personally. Novak was the toughest one. He was 6-10, shooting 3s all over the court and getting screens set for him. I wasn't used to that; it really caught me off-guard. But it's an experience for me.
came coach game move time took
I took my time and coach told me to take my time and see what I have, make the move when I'm around the rim. So it just came...It was like the game came to me today.
point reached
It was our mistake. I think we've reached a point where we have everything under control.
