awful basketball beat good hall order reason rebound stunk three transition win
I think the reason why Seton Hall was so good was we made them so good. We beat ourselves. We didn't do anything good. We didn't play good defense. We didn't play good offense. We didn't rebound the ball. We didn't get any transition offense. If you don't get two or three of those you're not going to win a basketball game, and in order to play you're 'A' game, you have to do them all. But, you know, we stunk tonight. We were awful tonight.
basketball create defense good offense played plays rely state team transition wins
We just have not played good defense lately. That's not our character. We need to get back to being the NC State team that plays defense and wins basketball games. We can't rely on our offense to win games. Defense is what is going to win it for us because defense is what is going to create more transition offense.
behind deserve four games good past win
Those four games we had to put behind us, and this win we have to put behind us too. We've just got to put the past behind. We had a good season, we deserve to be here.
dig grind wins
These are the kind of wins you want, where you have to dig in and grind it out. Those wins are the best.
confidence experience finding finish games giving pay putting situations ways win wins
This is giving us a lot of experience come March. It's putting us in situations where we're finding ways to win each time. Wins like this give us a lot of confidence that we can finish games when it's close. We've been ahead, we've been behind, we've been tied. So all that experience is going to pay off in March.
double games instead points three winning
Instead of winning games by two or three points in double overtime, we can win those games by 10 or 15 points, you know?
behind happy julius losses mentality point relief stay succeed win
I don't know if it's a relief or not, because it's one and done at this point and you've got to put this win behind just like the losses you put behind. If you want to succeed on Sunday, you can't get too happy and you can't be satisfied. You've got to stay hungry. Like Julius (Hodge) said, 'When you're hungry, you eat.' And that's the mentality we've got to have right now.
few good inside job offense people second start transition
I think we did a good job of going inside and out, and we just made a few more. Once you start making them, it's contagious. When more people are making them, people get in better rhythms. We got transition offense in the second half, which we didn't get in the first half, and I think that got us going for the 3.
among best man question
I think he's the best big man in the ACC, no question about it. Tonight, he showed everyone he's among the elite.
sweeter
It couldn't have set up any sweeter than that.
charge confidence happens sidelines tough
I think it's more nerve-wracking being on the sidelines than it is being on the court. When you're on the court, you have the confidence that you can win. You know you're in charge of your destiny, you're in charge of what happens out there. When you're on the sidelines, you don't have any control. So it was tough watching.
confidence family lost pick regroup staying stronger three
We need to regroup and get our confidence back. We just lost three in a row, and to this point, we had not lost more than one in a row. We have to pick it up in practice. That's where it all starts. We have to communicate with each other and become a stronger family now by staying tight.
kept scoring stop
We just couldn't stop them on defense. They just kept scoring at will.
convert half points second stops transition
We were two points away from making it an even game. But in the second half we didn't get those stops and convert those points in transition like we did in the first half. That was the difference.
