Joe was two points away from beating the guy that won (Kyle John). It was closer than we expected. He wrestled a lot better this week then he did last week in the finals. Third as a freshman is quite an accomplishment. He's only the second kid from our school to make states as a freshman.
basically beat confidence nobody swings wrestle
I basically just told him that if we wrestle our match, nobody is going to beat us. Once we know we could beat him, that swings the confidence in our direction.
goal realistic three
Our goal now is to get all three to states. I think that's a realistic goal.
partner point tilt turning
It's a little overwhelming, especially when your partner just lost. And him getting that tilt was the turning point in the match.
