He's really a true gentleman, ... one of the friendliest guys in the locker room. ... He's someone that you can tell your kids to look up to and be proud of it.
I am good friends with his brother Kevin and PGATour.com is one of the favorites on my computer so I can check out how he is doing, ... It is fun to see Fairfield High guys (make a name for themselves).
Andy plays at a different level than the other guys I played this week but I know it's not impossible to beat him, ... I was going for too much (on my serve) because I didn't want him to get my second serves and sometimes that backfires.
Andy plays at a little bit different level than some other guys that I played, and he made me hit some more balls today,
I look forward to playing a guy like (Haas). He is someone who really has been at the top of the game and whether or not his ranking states it, he is one of the top players in the world, ... Beating guys like the way I have the last two days makes me think I can hopefully do some good things the rest of the week here and the next two weeks at the U.S. Open.
Beating guys like that the way I have the past two days makes me think I can do hopefully some really good things the rest of the week here and the next two weeks at the Open,
I'm riding a wave of confidence, and hopefully it will continue here. These guys are here to help me, and I'm here to help them, so we've got a pretty confident team overall.
If I'm playing tennis like this, I'm a guy that NOBODY wants to play. I think there are a lot of guys who don't want to see me in their draw.
Andre's really a true gentleman, one of the friendliest guys in the locker room, ... (He's) got everything you can dream of, but he still knows how to treat people. And that's something I really admire. He's someone you can tell your kids to look up to and be proud of.
I know I'm not in a Hollywood script, otherwise I probably would have won a lot more this year. I've always known I had a chance to go deep in a major or go and win a tournament and play with these guys because I can put together a good set here, a good match there. I don't think of it as fate or anything. I think it's a lot of hard work.
Now that he's gotten through that, he'll be more of a nightmare for the rest of the guys in the tournament.
Any of the top 100 guys in the world can beat any of the top 10 guys on a given day,
I have said it before, that if every week was like this, I would never retire,
Any time getting on a grass court is going to be pretty fast, especially a lot faster than the hard courts we've been hitting on. It's just going to be a matter of time getting used to it. I feel comfortable on it. It's not a huge adjustment from the hard courts. It's still quicker. You have to change your game a little more, the movement's different.
