a give-up script. They would give up about any very small setback, not just a hurricane. The give-up script gives them an excuse to give up. They really don't like competing and working hard to accomplish their objective.
break-up school band
You can never rely on musicians. I quit high school at one point to make a go of it with this band and we kept breaking up. So I went back to school.
enjoy time-off
But I do enjoy the freedom of doing a movie and then having some time off.
