I never really expected "Hurricane" to be censored and banned around the world, but I think the good thing that came from it was that it created a dialogue, a conversation, a debate and a discussion. And that's a great thing. It brought all of us together in a unique way. And it made us look a little deeper in ourselves. I think it's a good thing.
I had traveled to Russia and met with Snowden, which was a pretty involved meeting that required encrypted communication and the like. And it was fascinating because of who he is and what he's done. And more so because what's going on between our two countries, Russia and the U.S., and to meet Edward Snowden in Russia was unforgettable.
Some people believe in God. I believe in music. Some people pray. I turn up the radio.

When you’re young, you don’t know that you’re poor, you just know whether or not you’re happy. And i was happy, and loved. My mom did whatever she has to do to get by, and the lesson i learned from my childhood was that it’s possible to pursue happiness, no matter where that pursuit may lead you.
I Lived on the street when i was a kid, i wasn’t even at school, so i had a whole different set of experiences for those formative years. I was gone… i was in a very precarious place when i was younger.
Thank God for the Italians, the most forgiving people of the world. And they sing so loud you can barely hear the music!
Pray to your God, open your heart. Whatever you do, don't be afraid of the dark.
