colorado five games hand three
It has a lot of implications in the division. We can be five up on Colorado with three games in hand or we can be three down, so it could be a big difference.
confidence creating feeling games good last scoring six
I think confidence it a big part of everybody's game. I think the last six games or so, I've just been feeling better and as a group, we've been creating more scoring chances, and it's good for everybody's confidence.
excuses game gone hopefully mindset
We'll try to have the same mindset for Game 2 as we did Game 1. Now hopefully all the excuses are gone and we can keep going.
feels games good played tough
It feels really good in our locker-room. It's been a lot of tough games and we've played some really good teams,
bad close front game single strength style terrible zone
We were terrible in front of (Boucher). It wasn't even close to the style of game we want to play all the way around. It was a terrible game. We were very sloppy. Our strength is in our own zone and every single one of us was bad in our own zone today.
games good lately played
We've played a lot of games lately and it was good to get a win.
confidence game huge series win
We had confidence but the first game of the series is a huge win for us,
coming excited fun games great importance playing points
I get excited about playing in Edmonton, it's such a great atmosphere, and the games are fun to play in. We know the importance of these games, and coming away with two points is big for us.
close enter game great hear learning side team winning
Learning to play in big games, Game 7 and Game 6, all of it is a whole different level. It's different hockey, it's great hockey. On the other side of it, we were that close (to winning the Cup), (so) we're hungry. To get that close and hear the other team celebrating, and know it could have been us, that does enter your mind.
cup emotions game happy losing scoreboard stanley
Obviously, we weren't happy with the way the game was going. Emotions get going when you look at the scoreboard and you're losing in the Stanley Cup Finals. And that's what happens.
areas game
There's no question, pretty much all areas of our game need to improve,
best days far four game importance knew period played third
The third period was probably the best we've played in a long time. It was a very big game for us as far as momentum. We all knew the importance of it. We've got four days to live with it now.
chance coming dent game gets goes series
As a series goes on, each game gets bigger. We have a chance now to put a dent in them, but we know that, coming off a loss, they're going to be more desperate.
bearing change coming game knew later match matter raise
We knew they would raise their game and we didn't match it after they started coming at us. It's a matter that later we've got to be better. I don't know if it's bearing down more or we've got to be more disciplined, but we're going to need to change and we have to do it in a hurry.
