country following goes great names realize
There's a lot of great names on that trophy. Being Canadian, I have a whole other country that's following me. You don't play for the awards, but at the same time, you realize that it goes a long way for a lot of people.
few guys team tried
A few guys on this team probably tried to do too much a few times, myself included.
drive few late lucky might reason runs seeing
I think a lot of it might have to do with teams, this late in the season, (that) are out of it, and I'm probably seeing more pitches. It might be a combination of a few things, but I still have to drive those runs in. For one reason or another, I've been getting lucky and getting more opportunities.
easier game win
You want to win so badly, but this isn't a game where you can try harder. You have to try easier, and that's easier said than done.
batting practice
I'm not a batting practice home-run hitter. I think I'm done with it.
exciting talking
It's an exciting time, ... You're talking about life-changing money.
bit countries gray latin line might people seriously
Some people will probably take it a little more seriously than others. A lot of the Latin American countries play a lot for pride, but you might see a little bit of a gray line for some people.
finish goal left soon weeks
I'd like to get something done as soon as possible, but we have two weeks left in the season. My goal now is just to finish strong.
nature neat nice people players quick step sudden team tournament win
The neat thing about this tournament is the nature of it, and how quick it is. A nice win here, you step it up in one game, and all of a sudden people take note, not just of the team but the players on it.
baseball love speaks volumes
This whole weekend, all these people--it just speaks volumes about our fans. They still love baseball here.
help last main maintain numbers protection trying year
You know what? My main thing is going to be trying to be consistent. Those numbers I put up last year and the protection we'll have this year, I think that's going to help me maintain that.
blast challenged early followed great paul runs start
We've been challenged many times this season, so for us to get those runs early and Paul having an unbelievable start was big for us, ... It was a bleeder and a blast followed by some great pitching.
came everybody far feeling focused
Usually on the first day it's pretty lackadaisical and everybody is feeling their way around a little bit, but I really got the feeling that everybody was over that. Everybody came in a little more ready, a little more focused as far as getting some things done.
biggest hitting instead key kinda nice playing relax runs three
We had pitching, hitting and defense. It was nice to get all three working together. The biggest key was getting the three runs early. That let us kinda relax a little bit, instead of playing from behind.
