There was a lot of desperation to win these games. Closing out the game. Hitting free throws. Valuing each possession of the ball. We did it all tonight and we pulled the game out.
There were times when we needed to make a stop and they scored on us. That was the difference in the game.
There were times when we needed to make a stop, and they scored on us. That was the difference in the game. Overall we played a good game. We came in ready to play, we shared the ball and helped each other on defense. Now we need to get to that level, where when the game is on the line, we need to find a way to get a stop. We just missed shots.
This is the result of an extremely personal matter. I deeply regret being involved in any situation that results in the embarrassment of my family, friends and fans, the Golden State Warriors and the NBA,
You still wear a suit, you still could be a crook,
You're expressing yourself, expressing your identity. It's taking away our self expression. I like to dress and change it up, ... Some of them have religious meanings behind their chains, others have personal messages behind their chains. Some guys just like to wear them. I think that was an indirectly racial.
Once you beat a team like that once or twice, especially at their place, you get confidence about them, you get confidence against them. You know that you can play with them anytime.
As a lot of times, you go up to dunk and you feel like you want to break that backboard, break that rim.
As long as I was on the floor, I was going to play like I was healthy. If you think you're hurt, you'll play hurt. I didn't have the same jumping ability so I had to smarten up on how to get my shots to fall. I think the ankle will be a little sore tomorrow.
The young guys got a lot of talent. Right now, they're playing with their talent, and they're playing better than what we expected of them.
They had good defense on me. Four seconds, you've got to get a shot up. I couldn't get the ball out of my hands and I couldn't get a good shot off.
We know if we are beat, somebody's going to be back there. In the past, it wasn't like that. If you pressured up on somebody and you got beat, you were getting dunked on. This year, we're helping each other out.
Our guard play is a big key. It's huge, especially when you're on the road.
I'll have to see what the doc says.
