In this moment my thoughts go to the many persons he made suffer -- some are still alive, some are dead.
I would like to thank the Western diplomats, especially Mr Solana and Mr Robertson, because their contribution truly benefits humanity and us Albanians as well because we are part of the great European family.
I would like to repeat it: the respect for the people that belong to this land is total. The respect to any religion is total.
I hope very much this event, the death of Milosevic, will help Serbia to look definitely to the future.
If Turkey is ready, we must begin talks. And if Croatia is ready, there too. But we can't have a quid pro quo with the fate of these countries' populations.
Regarding relations with the European Union, all the declarations of the election campaign have been positive.
EU foreign ministers agreed on Monday that member states will be producing a report on East Jerusalem that will be ready for the December 12 (foreign affairs) council meeting. This is not the final document. Work is still ongoing,
NATO continues to support a political solution which brings an end to the violence in Kosovo,
Checkpoints have been dismantled, and in addition most police and military units normally based elsewhere in Yugoslavia have left Kosovo. The security forces are returning to the level they were at before the present crisis began,
If that agreement is not implemented by force on the ground, it will not be effective.
An announcement that we will begin formal talks remains the realistic objective.
Diplomatic initiatives continue, but I think we must continue with the NATO strategy to seek a just end to this conflict,
I very much hope that common sense and intelligence will prevail and an agreement will be reached in the coming days,
If the only language Mr. Milosevic understands is force, then he will get force,
