awe last year
Last year was so bizarre. Now we've been through this before. Everybody's comfortable with what we're doing. I don't think anyone's in awe of what we're doing.
ability guards intensity kids level noah possession
Noah is incredible. Usually kids that are that big, even if they're that athletic, they don't have the ability to play every possession at the intensity level that he does. I don't know many guards that can do that, but he does that at his size. That's what makes him unique.
complete finished good kept proud sign
I was really proud that we were able to complete 40 minutes. We struggled, but we finished it off and we just kept playing. That's a sign of a really good team.
bring known
I wouldn't have known that if they didn't bring it up on the screen.
happened wish
I wouldn't wish what happened to them on any other class. I wouldn't want to go through it again.
split
Old school, split the house... It was cool.
affected areas basketball benefit college four guys maturing nba skilled
One of the areas the NBA has affected college basketball is the big guys. If they're very skilled as young guys, they take them early. The guys who are able to benefit from maturing four years in college are the guards.
country four rated respect talks teams top tradition
When Villanova's rated as one of the top four teams in the country and a No. 1 seed, I think it talks a lot about the respect, not just of this season, but it's respect for the tradition of the program.
There's no way you can simulate it in practice.
win
There's nothing we can do about that, other than win every other game.
looks planned timing
The timing of this is incredible. I know it looks like we really planned this well.
coaches earn high honor obviously regard
Is that with an asterisk? ... It's an honor because obviously the coaches have a high regard for our players. Now we have to go out and earn it.
loving students
The students are all yelling, 'Final Four, Jay,' ... It's fun. We're loving it.
Right now we're No. 3, so I like it.
