conference feels game
It kind of feels like a conference game to me. You know each other. You know what each of you is going to do. You just have to play the game.
conference east feels game january middle seems
It kind of feels like a conference game. This just seems like a Big East game to me. I feel we're in the middle of January and we've got BC next.
compared great guards hear night plays thank type
It's cool. That was an old school, split-the-house type of night. Thank God, (Lowry) plays for us. There have been a lot of great Philadelphia guards to play here. That's just a great thing to hear him compared on this night to some of them.
forward power randy reason small
Their unselfishness is the reason we can play Randy at the power forward and Allan at the small forward. They just want to win.
I'm not going to think about that right now.
god thank worked
It's something we have been working on for a long time. I just thank God it worked today.
everybody feels great group hurts proud supposed sure
Everybody was crushed. I told them to just cry. Everybody let it out. It's supposed to hurt. I'm so proud of them. I know it hurts for everybody, but I really want to make sure this group feels great about itself.
best biggest confidence hide lights player stressful throw
One of the things you can't hide is how a player is going to play in the most stressful conditions, when the big lights are on. You throw them into the fire, you see how they respond. You know if they're a player or not. You can just see it in their face. You can see it their confidence level. And in those two, they responded the best in the biggest game.
came half ready second team
They came at us in the second half like they were going to show us that they're the No. 1 team in the nation, and we weren't ready for that. But then we responded.
best great known players
I would never have known he had 32 points. He does so much for us. He's a great leader. I think he's one of the best players in the country.
bit fit freshmen hearing incredible realize regular season sick talked team
They know so much about the other teams. They don't know anything about themselves, about where they fit in. I talked to them about it a little bit yesterday. I said the freshmen were going to be sick of hearing about this team from me because what they did in this regular season was incredible ... But I don't think they realize where they fit.
against ball east everybody handle pass position push remind shoot size skilled team
They are probably more skilled at every position than any Big East team that we play against because everybody can handle it, pass it, shoot it well. They remind me of Connecticut, but with their size at every position and with the way they push the ball at you, they are just a little more skilled at each spot.
bit coaches fans great guys happens hell lost players sure today toughest understood win
It?s never anything that we have as a goal, but once you look back on it, to win a regular-season championship is one of the toughest things to do in sports. Coaches and players know that. Fans usually get into tournaments and things like that. And that?s OK. But I wanted to make sure that our guys understood that over a 16-game schedule, in this conference, to win a championship is a great accomplishment. If we would have lost today and been 13-3 in this conference, that?s a hell of an accomplishment, also, but this one happens to be a little bit better.
best defensive efforts guards handled might physical quickness small team toughness worry
I thought that might have been one our best defensive efforts of the season. They are a very tough, physical team and we always worry about being a small team because of our guards that I thought we handled their toughness with quickness and toughness defensively.
