busy felt forever super took traveling
We did try to keep them busy this week, but everyone wanted to play. It felt like we were at the Super Bowl; it took forever to play this game. Traveling usually mixes it up a little but we're at home.
couple doubt remind
We had no doubt that St. John's was going to come in here and play tough. They remind me of us a couple of years ago, young and just scrapping.
guys half hold ncaa onto plays rebound second
We had no choice. We had a lead. We are in the NCAA tournament. We said, 'Let's get through this second half and let's see if these guys can hold onto the ball, and we make some plays and just try to rebound with them.
good great hampton success
We know Monmouth a little bit. Hampton has had great success in the tournament, so we are going to get a good team.
needed time work
We don't have time to practice, and we needed to work on the things we're going to need tomorrow.
anybody count five floor guard guys rebounds
We don't have one or two big guys that we count on to get rebounds and that we keep around the basket. All of our guys guard all over the floor defensively, so anybody could be in any position. We do need to use five guys rebounding.
definitely game learn takes
We definitely used that as something to learn from. It only takes one game and one guy.
gives size
We're going to need him. He gives us more size out on the perimeter.
extra hit pass
When we double-teamed them, they made the extra pass and hit the 3.
dropped good ncaa prepare time
When we did it in the NCAA Tournament, it was kind of dropped on us. We didn't have a lot of time to prepare. I feel good that we have a little more time to prepare and play that way.
hit lead
When we had that 10-point lead we hit a lull. Then it was a game.
concerned couple tough worried
When we had some tough times a couple of years ago, we were all concerned about the program. I never, ever worried about my job. We all worried about the program.
became chance cumulative effect focused forget grow guy second talked
When we got back to Philadelphia and we talked about it, we just said, we got a second chance here - we got a second chance in life, forget about basketball. It just made every guy grow up - I think every guy became a little more mature, a little more focused on what's important in life, and I think it had a cumulative effect on our team.
pictures
We're going to do it nicely, so he'll do it with me and he'll be in the pictures with his classmates.
