east figure florida game games road south team tough typical win
That was a typical tough game on the road in the Big East. It didn't take South Florida long to figure out how to play like a Big East team. ... That team is going to win some games in this league. They're good.
basketball college difficult great life minds move next win
That was a great college basketball game. It's difficult to take but we have to. It's part of life and you move on. We have to win the next one that's what's on our minds now.
capable game mentally physically saying win
I find myself saying the same things about him. He is physically capable and mentally capable of doing anything to win a game for you.
necessary weapon win
He just did what was necessary to win the game. And having that weapon is valuable.
win
There's nothing we can do about that, other than win every other game.
case defense florida games good hard road shoot south team tough tried win
South Florida was well-prepared and did a good job. It wasn't a case of us going out on the road and not being able to shoot well. Their defense had a lot to do with it. We just tried to tough it out and play hard for 40 minutes. That team is going to win some games in this league.
achievement conference great proud schedule sports win
I'm real proud of our team. To win the conference over a 16-game schedule is a great accomplishment.
basketball best class great playing proud schedule senior win
I'm proud of our guys, that our senior class can be called champions. Over a 16-game schedule in this conference, to win a championship is a great accomplishment. I think we're playing our best basketball right now.
bit coaches fans great guys happens hell lost players sure today toughest understood win
It?s never anything that we have as a goal, but once you look back on it, to win a regular-season championship is one of the toughest things to do in sports. Coaches and players know that. Fans usually get into tournaments and things like that. And that?s OK. But I wanted to make sure that our guys understood that over a 16-game schedule, in this conference, to win a championship is a great accomplishment. If we would have lost today and been 13-3 in this conference, that?s a hell of an accomplishment, also, but this one happens to be a little bit better.
beat bit gaining hunger rather tournament understanding winning
I'd much rather go into this tournament after winning the Big East, but now that we haven't, I think what we will take from that is gaining a little bit of hunger and the understanding that we can get beat by anybody.
crowd cut game home shocked
I thought this was a home game for us. When they cut it to seven, (the crowd noise) shocked me.
against attitude felt four hungry odds playing prove small tournament wanting
I think we kind of felt like the odds were against us all year, being small and playing with the four guards, and I think that's got to be the same attitude that we go into the tournament with. We have to go in hungry and wanting to prove ourselves.
deal home practice
I think being at home and being comfortable makes a big difference. Not having to find a place to practice . . . There's so many things to deal with logistically when you're traveling, that this just makes it better for us.
amazed basketball confident court summer
It has amazed me how confident he has become in his intellect. The first day on the basketball court here, he was not intimidated. But that summer going to class, he was. It was very obvious. He was scared.
