It's my choice to play (the national anthem) before each game, but it's his choice to coach his team. He didn't walk out during the national anthem.

He and his team were perfect gentlemen and so respectful. He is young and I'm sure he didn't do anything out of disrespect. I feel that wholeheartedly.

There is nothing in the rules saying you have to be present for the national anthem. However a coach wants to get a team ready, it's up to him. If Patrick felt he needed a few more minutes with the team, that's his prerogative.
