Our philosophy on defense is bend but don't break and we bent a lot tonight. Fortunately we only broke one time.

It doesn't hurt having a couple of guys who don't look too bad. We had a really good day, and everybody was up-tempo.
coverage cut gave run work
(Newsome) doesn't work (with the) defense, so we didn't want to put him in any coverage and get him confused. And we gave him no run responsibility, we just cut him loose.

The point of this team that has had me the most worried is our defense. But they stepped up big down (at the goal line).
