Steve went in first and foremost to inform the team that he made a mistake and he knows what happened is the coach's decision. I encouraged Steve to express his feelings and that's what he did. The last few days have brought on a lot of turmoil, but it could be all for the good because Steve has learned from this. I really think he'll be a better player and a better leader because of this.

Any time a team sees some friction . . . if that opportunity arises to capitalize, most teams want to seize on it. But any time it was approached, my answer is that, 'Steve is very happy in Orlando.' He wants to stay here and lead this team to the playoffs.
