affected amazing dreamed medal ride success
I've had more success in this sport than I ever dreamed possible. It's just been an amazing ride and I don't think a medal here would have affected that at all.
competing dreamed nfl oh olympics span top
Oh man, I'm on top of the world. I dreamed big as a kid, but I never dreamed that in a span of one week, I'd be competing in the Olympics and at the NFL combine.
people primarily skiing
Skiing is primarily a recreational sport in this country. Football, you have all these teammates, the pressures, the rivalry, 80,000 people screaming, the motion, that thrill. I can't find that in skiing.
athletes brings coming event fantastic great hope taking together
It shouldn't be about winning. What's important is coming here, to a fantastic event that brings together great athletes from all over the world, and taking in the experience. That's what I hope to take from this.
ahead challenge great
It's great to have that right now something that's such a big challenge right ahead of me.
ncaa
The NCAA couldn't take this away from me.
athletes cold continue ncaa shoulder turn
The NCAA can't continue to turn a cold shoulder on these athletes because it's not fair,
Competitively, I feel like I've done it in skiing,
bring control drafted ethic expectation free hard lower thinking tried work
I went into this thing thinking I would not get drafted and do it through free agency. I tried to lower the expectation when things were out of my control like they were today. All I can do now is show up in Philadelphia and bring my work ethic and work as hard as I can.
sports transition
One thing that I feel like I have been able to do is transition between those two sports very easily.
bigger classify correct fans far feeling football games good missed olympics playing watching year
I don't know the correct way to classify the feeling I had after I wasn't playing football anymore. There are 5,000 fans watching on a good day in skiing. In football, it's 16 games a year and it's bigger than the Olympics as far as the fans. It was something I really missed doing.
america attention daddy football gets love obviously people primarily radar ski skiing view
Well, this is America, so obviously football is the Big Daddy in this country. It gets the most attention and has the most pressure, and that's what I've been really missing. A lot of people love to ski in this country, but it's primarily a recreational sport and that's the way people view it. Competitive skiing is not really on the radar here.
came check combine feeling great knowing nice saying time together week
It's nice to check that box. I've been saying for a long time that if I make it to the Olympics, I'll be at the combine a week after. But it really came together today, which is a great feeling. It's probably a better feeling than knowing I'm going to the Olympics.
