I think the thing that made a difference for him today, especially late in the game, was his ability to throw the ball inside. He hadn't been able to do that lately. Today, he was able to throw some balls inside to keep them from leaning over the plate looking for a breaking ball or hitting it the other way.

I told our hitters we are going to get in situations where our pitchers aren't going to be able to hold (opponents) down as they have been. We scored seven runs. You would think seven runs would be plenty. It's just a little frustrating.

I was really impressed with the way we got emotionally excited in the second game. We got a little mad. I've been looking for us to get mad when we're not playing well or not doing some things. We flat out got mad, and we got determined to see what we could do to win this ballgame. I was really proud of them for showing that.

We really got after their starter, and then we got into their bullpen, and that helped us out.
