brian core free lose montreal players positive retain revenue signs washington
When the organization signs core players like Brian Schneider, I think it's very important to retain them and not lose them through free agency. To be able to come into Washington and to be able to have the revenue to do some of the things we were not able to do when they were the Montreal Expos is very positive for the franchise.
afford beyond both bring maybe players point valuable
We would like to bring both of them back, if we can afford them in our budget, but valuable players get to a point where maybe they are beyond what you can afford,
everybody guy half hitting home kept power problems reality regardless runs saying stadium tells texas yankee
Yankee Stadium is real big in left-center field. He had no problems hitting home runs out of there. This guy has always had the power. couple deal field left needs next obviously player weeks
He's going to play left field. He needs to be out there now the next couple of weeks to play, and if he's not going to play for us, we need to know so we can go forward. We obviously will field offers, but we're not going to give the player away. If we can make a deal that makes sense, we will.
cleared price radar teams
He wasn't much on the radar screen. He cleared waivers. Twenty-nine teams could've had him for the waiver price and didn't.

He is hitting the ball hard and had some tough luck. He has had a good attitude in New Orleans.
agent compete deal free good market needed parties player
He is not a player I like to compete with on the free agent market because he is so special. This is a deal that needed to be done. I don't think it could have waited. It's good for all the parties involved.
ability bat catch throw
He has the ability right now to catch and throw in the big leagues. When his bat comes, he'll come quickly.
