ahead draft fulfill greatness incredibly people promise question raised talented therefore wonderful
I see nothing but greatness ahead for him and therefore it made sense for all of us. There's no question that Rudy will fulfill the promise of those people who draft him. He's got every attribute. He's bright, he's a wonderful person, incredibly well raised and he's just a tremendously, tremendously talented young guy.
league
I've been in the league 20 years, and this is the most competitive that it has ever been.
greatness kids room sacrificed talented teams
I've been in a (locker) room with some talented teams and some teams that bordered on greatness. But I don't know if I've been in a room before with so many kids that have sacrificed so much.
involved maybe seen type unsure walk
I've been involved with a lot of basketball. I don't know if I've seen that type of turnaround, from being so tentative and unsure of ourselves. I'd like to see them with a little more swagger. Maybe they'll walk out of here with a little more swagger.
blamed game mistake turned worst
It was the worst mistake he ever made. That was the game we were down by 25 and I turned to him every play and blamed him on it.
absolutely great played tip
It was tough, Albany just played great basketball. My hat, my gloves, my shoes, I'm going to tip all of them to them, because they were absolutely terrific.
against change good half night pressed second time
The second half would have been a good night to play against anybody. Every time you made a change ... You pressed us? We dunked it. You zoned us? We 3-pointed it.
ability basketball believe boston games happened limit nba sudden throw uniform vision watch watching
The sky's the limit with his ability and his vision of the game. I watch some of those NBA games and I happened to be watching Boston down the stretch, and I said, 'You throw him in that uniform and all of a sudden they'll be a different basketball team.' I believe that much in him.
automatic lousy team
The team really has been automatic every day in practice. We've only had one lousy practice.
college separates wiped
The thing that separates college basketball, many times, is just the emotion. I know I'm wiped out.
caution east gets good home maybe next pack players plays round scares team time tough tournament
The thing that scares me always the most and the thing I caution our players on is that next week, you go home. You go home for the Big East tournament. And then next time you go home, we pack up the uniforms. And this team is good enough to get to Indianapolis. Will it get to Indianapolis? I have no idea. ... Maybe the first round of the tournament some team gets up, plays us tough and we don't execute.
assertive incredibly needs talented today
Rudy needs to be more assertive. He's an incredibly talented kid, but he's a young kid. Today he was assertive and made his moves. At times today he was unstoppable.
chance player starting
Rudy is starting to become the player that we think he has a chance to be.
emerging watching
Rudy is emerging every day, and you're watching something wonderful.
