answer felt final four guard jim league remember truly until win
I've always thought he was unappreciated, ... It wasn't until he got to the Final Four in the Meadowlands in 1996 that I felt he was truly appreciated. I remember the first 10 years in the league I had to answer why Jim can't win this or that. We're the old guard of the Big East.
anybody ask
I usually don't ask anybody anything. I told him that he had to go out and be much more assertive.
banner chance fight god national second thank year
Thank god we have him. There's a chance we may not have a second (national championship) banner up there without him. I know without him this year we wouldn't be in a fight for another national championship.
control entirely fighting game kentucky kept sudden thrust
Sometimes you're thrust into a game that all of a sudden evolves entirely differently than all your game plans. I thought we could take control of this game, and Kentucky kept fighting back. And that was not in the game plan.
teams
Teams do get into ruts. (Other) teams do play defense.
game team terrific trying
Terrific defense. They are trying to be the toughest, scrappiest team in every game they play, and it's working. You can see it on tape.
george great inspired mason matter ncaa opportunity others overwhelm scared tournament
Sometimes the NCAA Tournament can overwhelm a team. Others come in and see the great opportunity and play with a sense of looseness, even better than what they had. ... George Mason was never scared off by the NCAA. As a matter of fact, they were inspired by the NCAA.
kindness perhaps walk
Sometimes I'd like to see them with more swagger. Perhaps we'll walk out of here with that kind of swagger.
ask believe bothers human road
Sometimes on the road it's been more difficult. You can go ask him now and he'll look you right in the face, 'Nothing bothers me.' I don't believe him. I think he's a human being.
bracket easier rather seed tough work
Seeding is important. If you get a No. 1 or No. 2 seed, you make things much easier on yourself. That's really what you work for all season. At the same time, what bracket you're in a makes a difference, too. I'd rather be a No. 3 seed and get an easier bracket than a No. 1 seed with a tough bracket. But if they want to give us a No. 1 seed I won't argue.
anybody deep guard obviously ray shots tremendous unique
Villanova is a unique team. Villanova is going to be unique for anybody to play. No one has guard play like them. Ray obviously made some tremendous, tremendous shots from deep, deep range.
difficult special team unique
Villanova is a unique team. Even with special preparation, it's a very difficult team to play.
floor force small space
Villanova is always scary, because of the way they space the floor and force you to play small ball.
night took
Villanova doubled us all night and took us out of our offense.
