believed quick therefore
I always thought he had quick feet. The only thing he never had quick confidence, therefore he never ever believed he could do it.
assistant brother career four meaningful national sisters taken took
The national championship in 1999 took me back to my career at UConn. This has taken me back to my life, to where it began, my brother and four sisters and how meaningful they have been, to my family, my parents, my friends, my players, my assistant coaches. It's pretty deep.
rather
Like Hubie, and sometimes like Jim, I can be rather lengthy.
knee second
Denham's knee was stiffening up so we didn't play him in the second half.
minutes waited worth
I told Rashad he only waited 38 minutes for that three. It was worth the wait.
minutes takes took
Normally, it takes us about 10 minutes to get into the game. Today, it took us 25.
bracket easier rather seed tough work
Seeding is important. If you get a No. 1 or No. 2 seed, you make things much easier on yourself. That's really what you work for all season. At the same time, what bracket you're in a makes a difference, too. I'd rather be a No. 3 seed and get an easier bracket than a No. 1 seed with a tough bracket. But if they want to give us a No. 1 seed I won't argue.
involved maybe seen type unsure walk
I've been involved with a lot of basketball. I don't know if I've seen that type of turnaround, from being so tentative and unsure of ourselves. I'd like to see them with a little more swagger. Maybe they'll walk out of here with a little more swagger.
crowds himself man nine opponent stand
He's going to take on at least nine opponent crowds who are going to brutalize him. He's got to be man enough to stand up to that. He put himself in that situation.
civic game god sure thank win
(Notre Dame) had every right to win that game just as much as we did. We had to will our way back in. Thank God it was here at the Civic Center. I'm not sure we could win that game on the road.
knee needed next proof ready
He needed to get that proof that his knee was fine. He'll be ready for next week.
charm charming tournament
I think that's the charm of what this tournament is about.
four games people season surprised teams
I wouldn't be surprised if you didn't see some different teams in the semifinals than what people are predicting. And I wouldn't be surprised to see someone play four games in four days. That's just the way this season has gone.
