I'm so proud of my kids. We took every shot Kentucky had. It's amazing we were playing Kentucky for the very first time.
capable incredibly ncaa playing teams tournament
I think all 12 teams in this tournament are capable of playing in the NCAA tournament and doing well in the NCAA tournament. That is incredibly rare.

I just hope we have enough time to recover.
country east goal last national notch ours programs total
Being No. 1 isn't a goal of ours like the Big East championship or the national championship, but we feel we're one of the better programs in the country for the last 15 years and being No. 1 is another notch for us as a total program.
cross holy
He would want to see the '47 Holy Cross team, ... They would want to see Papa.

bracket city control family good honest people rather sunday thinking wrong york
I'll be honest with you that on Sunday all I'll look at is the bracket and see if it's a good bracket. But I'd rather go West. I think New York City is not good for us. There's too much family around. I like having control and not have other people thinking about the wrong thing.
bank days handling happy hard last money passing running seen shots special star three work
I have to give a special star to Denham. With Rudy (Gay) out the last three days (groin), Denham has been our special player. I told him he's put money in the bank - all the work ethic, all the things he's doing, he's got some chits with me now. Just all over the place, running as hard as I've ever seen him, making shots that I didn't see him make before, handling better, passing better - I'm exceptionally happy with him.
abandoning beginning business glad men mistake process since
I have said since the beginning of this process that we should never be in the business of abandoning young men who have made a mistake and I am glad that we will not be doing that,
enthusiasm kindness needs possibly pulled
I pulled Marcus off and berated him as much as I possibly could. Marcus didn't come out with the kind of enthusiasm that he needs to.
coming expected
I never would have expected that coming into the game.
defensive east emotional god hilton lost player thank year
Hilton we lost for about two weeks. He got to the Big East tournament, was the defensive player of the year and he had a little letdown. I don't know what it was. He's such an emotional kid. But we've got him back and thank God we got him back tonight.
armstrong best changed foul hilton immense player
Hilton Armstrong was the best player on the court. He changed everything in the middle. He had big baskets. He was immense from the foul line.
feeling feels notions realize
He's feeling better. He feels I don't have any preconceived notions he can't play. He doesn't realize how much better he got.
