I don't think you have to be a brain surgeon to know you want to play your games where you practice. We're really not going to play a home game anywhere but this would be the closest thing.

I flew out to Los Angeles to tape a one-hour show, and it took 5 1/2 hours. I called my wife and said, 'Screw this stuff.' I just wanted the opportunity to coach again. I'm around guys who are friends and good football coaches. I think it's going to be a good experience.

Last year was a hard year on myself and all the coaches, and really the whole city. So I decided that if I didn't get a job, or the right job, that I would probably sit out a year and see if I could get back in the next year.

defense is a mind-set. You can't just do your job one time. We've got to win more one-on-ones. The defensive ends are the ones who are hurting us the most. They're letting runners get to the sidelines. The interior people are doing pretty well.

I'm ready for anything. If I have learned nothing else, I learned things happen and change fast, and you've got to be able to adjust on the fly.

Once they get on the field, it takes their minds off it. And obviously, when they get up and go home and flip around the TV, it kind of changes because reality sets in. But, for the most part, our guys have focused in fairly well.
