We don't want to let people score. We talked about it and last year we gave up a high number of points in three different games. That's just not all 11 guys believing in the system. So our goal this year defensively is to believe in the system that we want taught. We want to win football games by playing defense versus offense.

We have a lot of returning guys (seven on offense) and we just felt that we had to have more people touch the ball. So we had to get rid of last year's offense to do that. We had to put some pressure on our skill guys. We need our skill guys to make plays. So we are going to allow them to try to do that.

Physically, we matched Rutland today and any time you can do that it's a plus because they're a very physical team. What they did better than us is that they were able to move the ball better on offense. They hit the open guy. We've got to cut, we've got to move and we've got to communicate better.
