I don't see the whole picture yet, and I'm not sure GM does either. If they do, they certainly have not announced it. I'm not sure they've got a plan all together yet. But it's clear they've concluded that this plan isn't going to work and they need a better idea.
efficient ford mexico suspect
I suspect it will be Mexico and not be a UAW facility. The UAW won't like it, but Ford doesn't have a choice. Manufacturing has to go where it's most efficient and low-cost.
million pieces toyota truck universe
The full-sized half-ton truck universe is 2 million pieces (per year), so Toyota going from 100,000 to 250,000 units is doable.
