He was the kind of person where all you would have to say is Amby and people knew who you were talking about. People loved him. On the day of his passing, the headline in the (Providence) Journal read, A one, and last, of a kind. In all of the years that I worked with Amby, it's hard to pinpoint what stands out the most, except that he was always there.
