The guys were pretty torn up. It was very emotional as you would expect. But the team is rallying together. They know there are a lot worse things that could happen. We'll learn from this and put more emphasis on this rule in the future.

The church wasn't looking to harm these players, and the players weren't trying to hurt their team. I hate it for these guys. They were all an integral part of the team. For the two seniors, this was their last year.

We got a call (Thursday), and we talked to the kids and their parents (Friday) morning to confirm it. We had to get a schedule from the league to confirm the dates they played and then we self-reported ourselves to the AHSAA.
