I didn't want to take the show out of town. This is my home. I felt like I wanted to put it up here first. We did three readings and two workshops. And you know, I thought that was good enough.
bigger competition quality ranked state teams top
That's like a state meet. There were 14 teams there ranked in the top 20. It's actually bigger (than the state meet). The quality of the competition was very good.

Look, I'm an easy mark, ... But was 'You Light Up My Life' a vanity production? No one thought I could do that, either. I only got to do it because my investment adviser had put me in cattle the year before and all the cattle died. He felt guilty so he raised the money for the film. Even when it was done, nobody wanted it. I finally had to go to Columbia and say: 'You've got to put out this film. You simply have to.'
belfast certainly draw happen merge people
We want to try to merge some of the things that happen in Belfast to draw more people to the festival. If we can merge them to us, certainly we're broadening our base.
good meets running surprised
We've had two pretty good meets. I've really been surprised that we've been running this well this early. But we've got a lot of meets this season.
entire felt kinds needed realized support transition work
We feel now that the kinds of things we felt were needed to make the transition down to the waterfront were not there. We realized it would not work without the support of the entire community.
