We were obviously concerned after the game, but he has very little swelling, and our guys feel encouraged.
We want to go back to the glory days,
What David is, is a very, very good route runner, ... He's showed that he's got patience. He's got really good hints, which normally means you're a real good route runner, when you can go in there and just have a natural way of selling something. All it is is a little hint, but you see the defender take a big bite off of it. He's got real good instincts that way, and he's been around a long time and is just one of the hardest-working, high-quality guys you want to be around.
The good thing about it is the cast covers his thumb but your fingers are out, ... He played extremely well with one last week and I asked him, 'Hey, does it bother you?' And he said, 'Not really.' So that's good.
We'll probably look at the film tomorrow and see some real good things, but right now we're our own worst enemy,
We'll probably stay the same way we are with kicking.
We had so many injuries last year. I was kind of praying that we'd be much more in a good-health situation when we got to the regular season.
We have great chemistry, great character. Our goals would be to keep everybody -- the coaching staff, the players -- together and hopefully improve next year. We all feel like we've got something going here.
When I told (my wife) Pat (that I was coming back), she said you're going to ruin your good name. After the first year, we're halfway there.
We certainly accomplished a lot this year. We were 6-10 last year, and the facts speak for themselves this year. We got a lot of good things done.
You always have a burning desire to do well, ... It wouldn't matter if it was the first year, second year, third year.
We didn't have anything at stake. Minnesota came in here and had to have it, but we beat them. Up here, it's all about pride.
We'll see how Mark progresses toward the end of the week.
We'll see if there's a fit -- it has to make sense for both sides. He's a valuable guy, and you would have a hole if he's gone.
