We were relaxed tonight because their two key guys were out. I think we kind of took these guys a little lightly. We don't have no room to take anybody lightly.

We didn't know our roles (then). We were just out there playing. Tonight everybody knew what their roles were and we played them to the end.

We got out of what got us the lead. We settled for jump shots. I think we rely a lot on our offense to win basketball games. We tend to get away from our defensive scheme. It's hurt us.

We got some life at the end of regulation and I didn't want to go into overtime playing from behind. I went out and tried to take control.

We really wanted to come out strong and we felt that if we could get up on them early, they would have trouble coming back. We got that big run.

You got to adjust to it, that's all.

We fought hard in that fourth quarter and for that to be the deciding part of the game, that's a tough call. We should've had a better chance than that.

We found a way to get through it. This game was necessary, it was good we came out and played, but for the rest of the season this is going to linger in our minds.
apply hazardous lessons safe situations teaches
We don't have anything like this in New Mexico. This teaches us how to be safe in hazardous situations and see how those lessons actually apply on the street.

We started off very poorly. But we know what we can do. We just settled down and played our normal game.
