There's not a lot of opportunities here, and if you ain't mining, you're living somewhere else. A lot of people did just that 20 years ago, but that's changing awful fast.

Alan was awesome! At a 7:06-per-mile pace, he's one heck of a runner on snowshoes. Alan took advantage of the weather and the snow, and made it a great day for course records and for the race.
driving mind people worked
We did not mind driving it when people were working on the road, but no ones worked on it for about a year.
ads again high mining newspapers schools seeing teach teaching
You are seeing ads in the newspapers for (mine) orientation classes. They used to teach mining in the high schools 20 years ago, but they stopped. Well, they're teaching mining again now.

this wasn't anything from the government, these are churches across the U.S. that had heard about us came down, and gave us things.
