I have no idea how many snaps I'm going to play or when I'm going to play, but I've been practicing out there to get guys a little break and get somebody else chasing after the quarterback and chasing after the running back. I'm really looking forward to it.

Most period drama is so earnest. A lot of it is about making yourself take seriously things you wouldn't normally.

For some reason, my body just heals well. Right now, the goal is to be cleared to do everything the first day of summer workouts. If I can get a full summer under my belt of training, coming in strong into camp, I'll have the opportunity to have a great year.

There's a lack of disclosure in the city, information about where our funding is going, actual costs. I think those things need to be opened up.

The last person to teach me how to act was my A-level Theatre Studies teacher at school, which I literally still draw on. Got an A!

The thing is, the cornerback can play the screen so many different ways. He can come up and try to beat you to the ball right away. He can head fake you. Or he can try to back off and get around you. You have to be ready for anything and you have to be able to move your feet so that you can react to what they're doing. Most of them, though, just try to run away from you.

I was a little nervous at first. I never played reggae music in my life.

If you can get to a block you've got a chance, even if a guy is good at shedding blocks. But if they are a speed guy sometimes you can't even get there.

We had three new starters, but two of the guys (guards Matt Lawrence and Jason Palermo) had significant playing time. They're fifth-year seniors. They've been in the program a long time. They know what it is to work. They know what the technique you've got to have in order to be a Big Ten offensive lineman, especially at Wisconsin.

We didn't do that much (in the past). Everybody has their own drills. Mostly they're teaching the same things. But it's just a little bit different way of doing it...the coaching styles of some of the guys (assistants) are a lot different from some of the guys we had last year.
county events kids pleased ready steve sure threw
We're not sure Steve (Champlin) will be ready so that's why we threw different kids in different events. I'm very pleased with the way the kids performed. I wanted to see what the kids could do for the county meet.
grateful weekend
We're kind of weekend warriors. It's been going pretty well and we're still grateful to be playing.
