break face game home move shower silence sit stood strain streak turning
The way it was in Philadelphia, after we got on the streak good, we stood around for a while with our game face on. No one would make any noise. We'd sit for 15, 20 minutes. Someone would break the silence by turning the shower on. Then we'd make our move to go home for another day. It was pretty much a strain on everybody.

bad beating boys bunch everybody good knew league learn pay somebody whipped
They'll learn from this (losing streak). We got whipped so bad by the big boys everybody in the league was beating us. But I could tell we had a good bunch of young boys and knew we were going to pay somebody back for it.
airport bands full late night people won
We were going back to Philadelphia that night. Late in the night we got back in there and my goodness, the people in the airport... it was raining, it was late, and the airport was full of people. They had bands playing. You'd have thought we won the pennant.
