I've been swimming since junior high, and I've always liked pushing myself to beat my time. It's one of those sports, it's the nicest people you ever meet in your life. There's no politics in it.

It's a big issue for me. We're youth and we see older people forgetting what happened in Vietnam. We don't want that to happen to us. I'm 17 years old, I'll be 18 next month; I can go over to Iraq and get a gun shot at me. I think I have the right to voice my opinion out here.
